Non-OHIP COVErED SERVICES

In Ontario, essential medical services are covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) however many nonessential medical procedures and administrative services are not. These services include most forms, travel vaccinations, sick notes, insurance forms, etc.

Fees for these services are charged directly to the patient or insurance company at the discretion of your family doctor in accordance with the guidelines recommended by the Ontario Medical Association (OMA).

You may pay for individual uninsured services on a “Pay-Per-Service” basis or sign up for our Extended Coverage Plan (see below for details).

Through this Plan, you are covered for one year of use of the most common uninsured services. A list of the included services is provided below.  

There are both individual and family plans. The family plan covers two or more patients from the same household.

Individual Plan: $125

Couple Plan: $200

Family Plan $250
